Maria Sakkari v Nuria Parrizas Diaz

Maria Sakkari returns to competition with a tricky matchup against Nuria Parrizas Diaz who is not the greatest hard court player but she’s very tricky to handle.

Her game consists of many balls returning to you and Sakkari has shown the ability to spray many errors so she’ll need to be very careful in this one. They played two times and the Spanish player was able to win one match. It was almost ten years ago so it holds very little relevance right now.

Sakkari has a 5-2 record so far with a strong United Cup but disappointing Australian Open. Consistency continues to be the issue for her but I think she’s got a good chance in this matchup. The conditions are far more likely to suit her than her opponent and I think she’ll come determined.

She would win the match comfortably but we’ll play a bit risky here and back her to do it in under 19,5 games. I think she can get it done but it’s a risky play so be aware of that.

Tip: Sakkari to win AND Under 19.5 games in the match: 11/8 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Irina-Camela Begu v Katerina Siniakova

A very interesting matchup in Linz will see Begu take on Siniakova. Both players play similar tennis as they have flat groundstrokes and like to attack. Siniakova is a proper fighter and you won’t find many players that don’t want to lose more than her.

Begu has been playing on a higher level in recent months and she has a solid 4-2 start so far. Siniakova posted a 4-3 record so far but she leads Begu 3-1 in the matchup. Their most recent one came in Indian Wells last year and Siniakova won that one in three sets.

There is a very good chance this one goes similarly as the 3-1 lead indicates a matchup advantage. I do think Siniakova is the right side to choose her but I don’t think it will be that comfortable. Three sets are highly likely in this contest.

I still like Siniakova to win in three so if you’re feeling daring back her to get it done in three.

Tip: Siniakova to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Paula Badosa v Liudmila Samsonova

One of the best matches of the day in Abu Dhabi will be a blockbuster between Badosa and Samsonova. The Russian is generally not on the level of the Spanish player but her game is so heavy that she’ll always have a chance to win the match.

Both are attacking players with good a serve which suits the surface in Abu Dhabi. Badosa had a good start but missed the Australian Open with an injury while Samsonova largely disappointed. A 2-3 start is far worse than we expect from her but she’ll have a chance to make things right here.

She leads Badosa 2-0 winning a hugely competitive and close affair at the 2021 Australian Open. I expect something similar here because I do think Badosa played a bit better this year however she’s rusty coming back from the injury. The best option here would be to back the over.

I do think the Spanish player is likely to win but we recommend the safer option due to the 0-2 H2H against Samsonova.

Tip: Over 22.5 games in the match: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
