Daniil Medvedev v Jannik Sinner

The best two players in the past week in Rotterdam will face off in the final. Both Sinner and Medvedev have been incredibly impressive all week long but Medvedev looked far scarier. The Russian is demolishing his opponents with his annoying play and Sinner is not immune to that.

The Italian never won against Medvedev in their four matches so far and funnily enough, all four were played indoors on hard courts. That’s the surface where they will play tomorrow and in a way, it’s going to be tough for Sinner. Yes, he’s been hitting the ball really well but Medvedev knows how to counter that.

He’s been quite literally unplayable all week long and he’ll certainly show up tomorrow. The only thing that is interesting is him losing a couple of finals last year which is hard to explain why.

Overall I think he’s the better player whose game is better suited for Rotterdam and I think he will win. Not much to add besides that.

Tip: Medvedev to win the match: 4/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Paula Badosa v Liudmila Samsonova

An incredible round-one matchup awaits us in Dubai with Baodsa taking on Smasonova. Both were in action last week but both lost. Badosa was coming off an injury and played a rather rusty match but she did fine considering the circumstances.

Samsonova was simply tired from a long previous week where she played a gruelling final just days before that. With both ready to go, this is promising to a very close one. They played twice so far and Samsonova won both times so there might be a matchup advantage there.

Both play similarly with strong groundstrokes and a powerful serve. Both are quite streaky and will be hoping to get their best tennis going.

I’m leaning towards Samsonova as the winner because she seems to be a bit better at the moment and she certainly played more. It should be close so the safer bet would probably be to take the over.

Tip: Over 20.5 games in the match: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Sofia Kenin – Marie Bouzkova

Another interesting round one matchup is between Kenin and Bouzkova. Both have not played that well this year but both have a really solid game and can do a lot of damage in the right circumstances. Kenin has peaker higher so far but Bouzkova is fairly young and she could certainly hit those heights.

Matchup-wise I’d say that the Czech player has a better chance of winning the match because she’ll send a lot of balls back to Kenin and she can be quite erratic at times. She’s also not the strongest mentally so generally if things go south, she doesn’t correct the course often.

Bouzkova can also be very up and down but her game is safer which makes it less likely for her to beat herself. It can matter in Dubai. They never played on the WTA Tour before so it’s going to take some adjustments by both. The safest best might be the over but I think there is good value on Bouzkova.

I’m not yet fully convinced that Kenin is truly back so I’ll side with the Czech player. It’s risky so keep that in mind.
