Petra Kvitova v Barbora Krejcikova

A very interesting round-three matchup in Dubai will feature two Czech players playing against each other. Kvitova will face Krejcikva on a court where they both played well in the past. Kvitova has been really solid this year, much more than Krejcikova who can always be dangerous due to her flat groundstrokes.

They played twice so far and Kvitova won both matches however they were played a while ago. Krejcikova has become a much better player since then so it’s not quite clear how they matchup right now. Kvitova has a better score this year at 8-3 but her opponent is no far behind with 7-3.

It will largely come down to who players better because they’re pretty close. Both like to attack and have solid serves so it could be another long one. Kvitova seemed a bit better at the event so far but I’m not comfortable backing her to win.

I can’t do the same for Krejcikova so I settled on an over. It’s likely with the conditions playing slower this year so let’s go with that.

Tip: Over 20.5 games: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Coco Gauff v Elena Rybakina

Both Gauff and Rybakina scored huge wins to make their way into the 3rd round of this event. Gauff smashed an out of form Sasnovich while Rybakina battled past Bouzkova. It’s an interesting matchup on paper because Rybakina counters Gauff pretty well.

It mostly comes down to her being better in rallies, especially when it comes to trading forehands. Even so, Gauff won their only matches which was played last year in Toronto. It was a close matchup that went to three and a tiebreak settled it.

We might see something similar tomorrow and the over is a solid option. I also think it’s worth trying on Rybakina to win. I really like the way she has played recently and she’s looking very confident in her game. That can’t be said for Gauff who is particularly shaky on her forehand.

She’ll need it to win and I’m not sure she’ll find it. One thing that works in her favour is her speed but I’m not sure it will be enough.

Tip: Rybakina to win: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Andy Murray v Alexander Zverev

Andy Murray won a very close round one matchup against Lorenzo Sonego that last almost three hours. It’s not something that he enjoyed but getting the win was important as it proved to him that the wins in Australia were not by chance.

He’ll eye another one against Zverev who has been slowly playing better and better but it’s still not the old Zverev. He probably won’t hit his peak until the clay season but every match he plays gets him closer to that. They played four times so far with Murray winning three of those.

Zverev won the most recent one but it was played in 2021 so it’s been a while since then. Murray has had success against Zverev due to the way he plays. Zverev tends to be passive at times and that’s not the way to beat Murray. He’ll need to be a bit more aggresive and he has played like that recently.

If he managed to find a good rhytm he’ll have a chance to win but I’m thinking that Murray might pull this one out. It’s risky but there is good value in it.

Tip: Murray to win: 13/10 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
