Maria Sakkari v Bianca Andreescu

After beating Emma Raducanu in R1 Bianca Andreescu will take on Maria Sakkari in he second round of the Miami Open. They played two times so far with the score being 1-1 between them. The last one was in 2021 at the US Open with Sakkari winning.

Sakkari had the better year so far with some really solid wins albeit a few bad losses as well. Miami is a good place for her because she played in the 2021 semi-final here. The surface works well for her serve and aggressive groundstrokes.

Andreescu does well here too and this generally promises to be a really good matchup with a lot of aggressive rallies. Seeing three sets seems very likely and I think there is really good value in that. I tend to think that Sakkari might win the match but I would not put money on it.

Take the over and enjoy what looks to be a pretty clear 3-set match between two really strong players.

Tip: Over 20.5 games in the match: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Casper Ruud v Ilya Ivashka

Last year’s finalist Casper Ruud begins his 2023 campaign against a tricky opponent that always makes you earn the victory. Ivashka started really well taking the first match comfortably which proves he is getting back into form after some injuries to start the year.

Ruud hasn’t been playing at all and it’s been somewhat worrisome. Ruud has only four wins before this event and five losses which is obviously pretty bad. He played well here last year making it to the final and it’s pretty certain he won’t make another final.

A big drop of points is looking likely but he’s still the favourite in this one. They never played against each other so that makes it a bit tougher for the Norwegian.

I have a feeling that this match will be pretty straightforward. Either Ruud wins in two or Ivashka stuns him in two. Take the under in a very bold play but understand the risk.

Tip: Under 21.5 in the match: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Andrey Rublev v J.J. Wolf

Rublev doesn’t remember Miami that well because he got smacked by Nick Kyrgios last year. He hopes to do better this year but it’s going to be tricky against Wolf who is a really strong player with a good showing here in the past. The American has a big serve and that’s a problem.

He also has a fierce forehand which is another problem. He’s also capable of playing some incredible shots which is another problem. Luckily for Rublev he has the same skillset and he can certainly hurt Wolf in that way. The way to beat the American is to stay consistent and wait for a weaker game because it’s coming.

It always happens and if you stay sharp in that one you can break him. Bublik did that in the previous round but he himself is not consistent enough to see it through.

Rublev is and I feel like he’ll win. The odd is not great but I think this might be something like 7-5 7-5 which makes the over enticing.

Tip: Over 22.5 games in the match: 4/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
