Nicolas Jarry v Marco Trungelliti Head to Head
There have been no matches played at the highest level but the two did face off on the Challenger circuit in 2014 and Trungelliti had won that.

At the start of the season Jarry was playing in the qualifiers of the Australian Open. He scraped through to the main draw and made the second round with a shock win over Miomir Kecmanovic.
That was the last tournament he played outside of clay. And that has paid rich dividends for the now-58th-ranked player who made the semifinal of the Rio Open after starting out as a qualifier.
This was followed by a title win in Santiago where he had to fight through three sets in four of the five wins but did so admirably before winning against Tomas Martin Etcheverry to scoop up the tournament.
An early defeat at the Marrakesh Open didn’t seem to dent his confidence too much as he followed that up with a third round appearance at the Monte-Carlo Masters. There he fell to Stefanos Tsitsipas.
He will be a heavy favourite to make the second round here. And probably beyond.

Trungelliti Makes First High-Level ATP Main Draw in 2023
Having fallen to outside of the top 200 on the ATP Rankings, Trungelliti has had to focus on the Challenger circuit this year.
He did try to make it through the qualifiers of the Australian Open and the Montpellier Open but fell at the last hurdle. Other than that, however, Trungelliti did make it to the quarterfinal stage of a Challenger tournament on hardcourt surface and then switched over to his favourite clay and did well at Murcia.
In a Challenger there, Trungelliti was a semifinalist and has followed that up with back to back qualifying wins here to make the main draw of an ATP tournament for the first time this season.
He overcame Alex Marti Pujolras in the second qualifier after having crushed Maximilian Marterer in the opener.
Expecting him to go past Jarry would be a tough call though.
