Harriet Dart v Katie Boulter Head to Head

All four of their previous meetings have come in hardcourt competitions at the ITF level and Boulter leads 3-1. The last time they faced off, however, was in 2018.

Dart Stuns Kalinina

Having made it to the main draw of this tournament on the back of successive wins in the qualifiers, Dart has now won back to back matches without dropping a set to enter the quarterfinals.

After dispatching Rebecca Marino in the first round 6-4, 6-2, one thought she would meet her match in the form of Anhelina Kalinina but Dart was up for the challenge and how.

She wasted no time – 23 minutes to be more precise – in bagelling Kalinina in the first set and while she lost her serve early in the second, Dart came back to clinch the encounter 6-0, 7-5.

It was an exhibition of excellent in two contrasting situations from Dart, who showed she can put up a fight when the backs are to the wall too. Can she do the same against a player who is ranked 17 spots ahead of her and has beaten her on three of the four previous times they faced off?

Boulter Eases Past Snigur

Much like Dart, Boulter too hasn’t had a lot of trouble in this competition so far.

While she didn’t need to come through the qualifiers here, Boulter has now managed straight-set wins in both the rounds including one over fellow Brit Emily Appleton in the first round and then against Daria Snigur in the second.

It did take her two hours and seven minutes to go past Snigur though.

And that was down to her serving issues that saw her come back from 2-4 down in the first set and 1-2 down in the second (a break down) to win the encounter. It also included a game in which Boulter missed seven break-points!

Boulter will have to do a lot better against Dart who has looked slightly more clinical between the two.

Dart v Boulter Prediction and Tip

While Dart is the second favourite at 11/10 we think she has a good chance of toppling Boulter in this one on grass. Might take her three sets though.

Tips:

  • Low Risk Tip: Over 21.5 games in the match: 8/11
  • Moderate Risk Tip: Dart to win: 6/5
