Ilya Ivashka hasn’t been that healthy this year and that’s quite evident from his level. He played rather poorly this year posting a 9-17, a far cry from the 23-24 record he posted last year and especially the 43-20 one from the year before.
He’s a good player, very solid who will give some minor issues even to the best of players in the world. This year hasn’t been that much but he got a great draw in Wimbledon. He’s facing Federico Coria, a player who played four matches on grass in his career losing all four of them.
Ivashka himself isn’t a superb player on grass but he has a much better record than Coria. Ivashka is 20-18 on the year though he won only one of the four he played this year.
I expect him to add at least another one at Wimbledon because this match is the best possible one if you want to gain confidence after struggling for much of the year.

Federico Coria doesn’t treat Wimbledon as some spectacularly important event in his schedule though he comes back to play it every time he can. It’s mostly because the Argentine doesn’t play on grass as he mainly focuses on grass. He played only four matches on the surface in his career and all four came at Wimbledon.
Two of those were losses in the qualifiers while two were 1st round losses. He only won one set in those two 1st round exits so it’s a pretty clear picture of how he generally plays on grass.
The year overall wasn’t that great for Coria who has 14 wins in 29 matches which means that his level on clay hasn’t been that better. Don’t expect a match from the Argentine as this is simply a formality of taking part and taking the money and points.
Expect a decent effort but that’s about it.
Ivashka v Coria Prediction and Tip
This is a match that Ivashka should win comfortably as I don’t see him dropping a set. Either way Expect Ivashka to win by at least two sets.
