Borna Coric v Felix Auger-Aliassime Head to Head

This will be the first time that the two youngsters will face each other.

Coric Finds his Momentum in Miami

The 22-year-old Croat had a rather uneventful start to the season but he found his stride in Miami following a brilliant week.

Starting as the 11th seed, he first defeated Roberto Carballes Baena in three demanding sets. After that, he overcame Jeremy Chardy with a rather similar score before dispatching Nick Kyrgios.

This is Coric’s second such run this year, with the other one coming in ATP Dubai a couple of weeks ago. Over there, he made it as far as the semifinal before losing to Roger Federer. As for his run in other tournaments like ATP Marseille and the Indian Wells Masters, the Shanghai Masters runner-up lost his opening matches.

Felix – A Next Generation Star in the Making

The 18-year-old Canadian has had a better season so far in comparison to Coric. Despite starting on a rather slow note, he eventually moved on to reach the final in the Rio Open, where he lost to Laslo Djere.

He had a similar run in the Brasil Open too although that time, he made it as far as the quarters where he lost to Djere once again. After that, he played in Indian Wells where he reached the third round, not before upsetting Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Considering his performance in Miami, he made it to the main draw as a qualifier. Then, he defeated Casper Ruud in the opener following which, he defeated the Hungarian Marton Fucsovics. After that, he met the likes of Hubert Hurkacz and Nikoloz Basilashvili, both of whom Felix defeated in straight sets.

Coric v Auger-Aliassime Predictions & Tips

Coric will start this game as the favourite to win, given his experience and ranking on the tour. However, Felix has been really impressive over the last couple of weeks and can very well upset Coric. The young Canadian has an advantage that he is in a better form on the whole than the Croat. Plus, Coric hasn’t been that comfortable in Miami, with all of his matches going to three sets.

This will be a wild battle that can go either way.

Tip: Over 22.5 games in the match: 4/5 (Bet365)
