The remaining first round matches at the 2023 Canadian Open along with some of the second round encounter will be played on Tuesday, August 8. Elena Rybakina will be one of those in action along with Caroline Garcia, Casper Ruud, Alexander Zverev and Cameron Norrie. Get the predictions and tips for these matches played today below.

The women’s section of the draw has Caroline Wozniacki returning to competitive tennis which will be followed by former Wimbledon winner Elena Rybakina taking to court as well. She will be up against another player who returned to tennis last month after a long layoff, Jennifer Brady.

Elina Svitolina will also be in opening round action while the 2023 Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova returns to action for her opener against Mayar Sherif. Caroline Garcia will then face Marie Bouzkova.

Men’s action has Andy Murray kick things off on the centre court before Alexander Zverev takes to court for his opener against Tallon Griekspoor. Also playing in his second round match will be Casper Ruud who needs a bit of a run to get back to form in the lead-up to the US Open.

Brits Cameron Norrie and Dan Evans will also take to court for their respective first round encounters today.
