Marton Fucsovics v Zhizhen Zhang Head to Head
Zhang has won their only previous meeting that came in Napoli in 2022 in an outdoor hardcourt competition.

Having reached the third round at Wimbledon earlier this year, Fucsovics returned to feature in a Challenger tournament in Segovia where he reached the quarterfinal. Following that, however, his first foray in the North American hardcourt swing came at the Cincinnati Masters where he was forced to feature in the qualifiers.
Unfortunately for him, Fucsovics failed to get past Alexander Shevchenko in the very first qualifying round, losing in straight sets to his opponent.
That was a bit of a surprise given Fucsovics’ overall record in hardcourt competition is a solid one. And even this year, he has already won the Canberra Challenger on that surface and made the fourth round at the Indian Wells Masters, defeating Alex de Minaur in straight sets in the process.
He now faces an opponent who is more known for his performances on clay but at the same time won his opener against Ilya Ivashka. Fucsovics starts off a 4/6 (bet365) favourite in this one.

Zhang Edges Out Ivashka
In an opening round match which saw Zhang start out a slight favourite at 4/5 (with bet365), he needed two hours and 23 minutes to go past Ilya Ivashka.
Zhang overcame the loss of the first set to clinch the win 4-6, 7-6 (7), 6-2 as he squandered 11 set-points in the second set alone before finally levelling things out. It must have then been a relief for the Chinese player to find himself breaking his opponent in successive games to take a 5-1 lead in the decider.
He soon served out the set – and match – to seal his second round berth.
In doing so, Zhang had won his maiden match at the highest level in a hardcourt competition. It came in his 10th hardcourt tournament of the season and that by itself is a good enough reason why he starts off the second favourite here, with bet365 offering 6/5 for his win.
