Trevisan in a Stunning Win Over Putintseva
Yulia Putintseva had come into her first round match at this year’s US Open as a 4/6 favourite to topple the clay-court specialist Trevisan.
And a few minutes into the encounter she had lived up to those odds and more with Putintseve bagelling her opponent in the first set.
What transpired in the next two sets is anyone’s guess but one thing’s for certain – full marks to Trevisan for the fight she put up and grab the those two sets in tie-breakers.
