Liudmila Samsonova v Alycia Parks Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before.
This will be the first match between Samsonova, who is 24, and Parks, two years her junior.

Samsonova is now starting to fulfil the potential that saw her named WTA Rookie of the Year in 2021.
Although she has not won any singles titles this year, she finished runner-up in both Abu Dhabi and Canada (where she beat Arnya Sabalenka), and won the doubles event in Dubai.
In addition, she reached the fourth round in Madrid and was a French Open quarter-finalist in doubles.
Since losing that Montreal final to Jessica Pegula, she had a dip in form in Cincinnati, suffering a first round defeat, but she rebounded at the US Open, where she reached the third round for the second successive year.
Her first tournament in Asia was in Tokyo last week, where she beat the German Tatjana Maria, before losing in the second round to Ekaterina Alexandrova in straight sets.

Parks Now a WTA Tour Winner in Singles and Doubles
This has been a breakthrough season for Parks on the WTA tour.
She won her first senior singles title in Lyon in February, and then, with partner Storm Hunter, reached the final of the doubles in Birmingham, although they finished on the losing side.
Two months, later, though, this time partnered by Taylor Townsend, she did win the doubles title in Cincinnati.
Going into the tournament with a career high ranking, she would have been hoping for a deep run at her home Grand Slam in New York.
Instead she suffered the disappointment of a first round loss, beaten in three sets by Daria Kasatkina.
Nor did things improve for her in San Diego, where she was also a first round loser, Anastasia Potapova the player to beat her on that occasion.
Parks did manage to navigate the first round in Guadalajara, but Ons Jabeur ensured she would go no further, convincingly beating her in straight sets,

Whilst Parks has enjoyed a good season, her form has just dipped, and this may be the wrong time to play Samsonova who has begun to fulfil her potential on tour.
And the fact that the American has to acclimatise to playing in Asian conditions again makes the task doubly difficult for her.
