Grigor Dimitrov v Ugo Humbert Head to Head
This will be only the second time that the pair will be meeting each other on the tour. They faced off last year in the first round at the Paris Masters where Dimitrov prevailed in three sets.

There were 15 events last year where the Bulgarian failed to win more than one match in the tournament. But his two best runs in the season came late on where he made it to the semi-finals at the US Open and at the Paris Masters.
And time is running out for him to find his form back before he has to defend 720 points at the Flushing Meadows.
It looked like that the 29-year-old had started to find some of his old form back just before the season was suspended. He reached the semi-finals at Acapulco where he lost to Rafael Nadal.
Dimitrov has played a reasonable amount of tennis since the season resumed. He played in the ill-fated Adria Tour in June and also participated at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown recently.
Although his performances during these events haven’t exactly been great he has had a decent amount of tennis to get him back in the groove. Last year he crashed out in the first round at the event and will be looking to go much deeper this time around.

Humbert Looking for a New Career-Best Ranking
The 22-year-old Frenchman’s season started on an excellent note when he won his maiden ATP title at Auckland. His form did suffer after that where he lost the three out of the next four matches. But despite a minor blip, his form throughout the first part of the season was excellent.
He has already achieved his career-best rankings twice this year and is currently ranked 42 in the world.
He did go out in a shock loss from a Challenger event last week and will be looking to bounce back straight away in Cincinnati. His record on the hard courts is excellent and he has won almost 70% of his career matches on the surface.
With a strong showing this week he will have the chance to achieve a new career-best ranking. It will surely give him great confidence going into the US Open where he is defending no points.
Grigor Dimitrov v Ugo Humbert Prediction & Tip
Humbert has an excellent record on hard courts and has been in good form lately. Dimitrov, on the other hand, hasn’t found any sort of form or consistency this year. It is difficult to look past the Frenchman in this match. It wouldn’t be a surprise if, by the end of the US Open, the respective rankings of both these players are almost swapped.
