Cameron Norrie v Sebastian Korda Head to Head

The two have never faced each other in a competitive match before. This will be the first-ever encounter between the 25-year-old Brit and the 20-year-old American.

Norrie Stuns Former Champion

Norrie overcame the challenge of 2018 champion and crowd favorite Frances Tiafoe in the quarter-finals. The Brit came in as the slight underdog but immediately dispelled any doubts by achieving a bagel in the first set.

He was dominant in that first set, converting 3/5 of the break points that came his way and also won 9/9 of his first serve points.

Tiafoe came back in the second set. He converted two break points and rescued 7/8 break points that he faced, including two in the final game of the set, which helped him claim the set 6-3. That marked the first set that Norrie conceded in this tournament.

The deciding set was a more even affair but was decided by a solitary converted break point that went Norrie’s way.

Norrie will now be aiming to reach his second ATP final when he faces Korda. He comes up against another American, having already dispatched two in his road to the semis.

Korda Postpones Isner’s Revenge

John Isner came into his quarter-final tie hoping to avenge his French Open defeat to Korda. Korda, however, postponed Isner’s revenge with a great display that saw him overcome the dominant server 6-3 4-6 6-3.

Korda was impressive. Despite conceding thirteen aces, he won 21 of Isner’s 60 first serve points; in the process curtailing one of the strengths of Isner’s game.

Additionally, he rescued 1/6 of the break points that he faced and crucially converted 3/7 of his own break points, two in the first set and one in the second, which were important in helping him win both of those sets.

Korda will now be aiming to reach his first-ever ATP final. He has previously reached six Challenger Tour and ITF Futures Tour finals. However, he’s only won just one of those, which came recently in November 2020.

Norrie v Korda Prediction and Tip

Korda is the slight favorite in this one. He comes in at 4/5 in comparison to Norrie’s 1/1 odds. However, I’d still back Norrie’s experience and great performances in this tournament to be decisive in helping take the Brit to his second ATP final.

Tip: Norrie To Win: 1/1 (bet365)
