Shelby Rogers v Caty McNally Head to Head
This would be their first meeting as the two players have never met before on the WTA tour. However, Rogers will be a slight favorite going into the encounter because of her experience as her opponent McNally, who is just 19, is still learning the tricks of the trade.

McNally Still Trying to Find her Feet on the WTA Tour
In Charleston, Shelby’s challenger is her countrywoman McNally. McNally, a teenager, is extremely inexperienced and still trying to understand the rigors of the WTA tour.
However, McNally is a quick learner and working extremely hard to crack to top-100 this year. In fact, she is willing to push herself to the limits, so that she is successful in becoming a top-100 player in the WTA rankings in 2021.
McNally’s best finish in 2021 has been an appearance in the quarters of the Abierto de Guadalajara, where she was defeated by former Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard of Canada. In her last tournament, McNally made it to the round of 16 before she was beaten by Paula Badosa in straight sets.

Not surprisingly, it’s Rogers who starts off a 4/7 favourite and 6/5 to win it in two very easy sets. Moreover, Rogers’ all-round game gives her a solid advantage on clay.
