Nuria Parrizas Diaz v Storm Sanders Head to Head

Nuria Parrizas Diaz celebrates her 30th birthday on Thursday and it is fair to say that she has given herself the best gift possible. She won her biggest title just last week – the WTA 125K Series Nordea Open, where she beat Olga Govortsova in the final to lift the trophy and reach her highest singles ranking yet.
The Spaniard’s season is also backed by four ITF titles, three of which came on hard courts. Additionally, Diaz was a quarterfinalist in WTA Bogota, making it all the more evident why she is having one of the best years of her professional tennis career so far.
In Prague, she defeated Urszula Radwanska 2-6, 6-3, 6-1 to make this second round appearance and go 6-0 in July and 37-10 overall.
That said, she is likely to face some resistance from her Australian adversary.

Sanders Upsets Bouzkova
Storm Sanders delivered a huge upset in the opening round of the Prague Open, defeating the local favourite and number four seed Marie Bouzkova 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.
It is the first time since the Volvo Car Open in April that the 26-year-old Australian has reached this far in a WTA tournament. In all fairness, she had the best run of the year at the start of the season. Sanders reached the quarterfinal in WTA Adelaide as a qualifier and the second round in Miami Open and Charleston.
As a doubles player, however, she has enjoyed more success. She was the runner-up in Charleston and Nottingham, partnered respectively with Ellen Perez and Caroline Dolehide. Most recently at Wimbledon, she also reached the semis with Dolehide.
Diaz v Sanders Prediction and Tip
There is not a lot of difference in ranking of the two players with Diaz at 117 and Sanders at 141. That said, Diaz is coming off a terrific season and a brilliant run, making her the heavy odds-on favourite for this match.
