Federico Coria v Yannick Hanfmann Head to Head

Federico Coria picked the biggest win of his career as he stunned World No. 18 Cristian Garin in Bastad on Friday to reach a second tour-level semifinal in 2021.
The Argentine won 66% first serve points, saved five of nine break points and converted six of 13 to upset the second seed 6-4, 4-6, 6-2. The two-hour-and-35-minute match saw as many as 194 points, with Coria winning 105 of them.
The World No. 77 also had to dig deep in his Round of 16 match against Italy’s Marco Cecchinato on Wednesday, having to comeback from a set down to win the contest 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.
The 29-year-old, who began his Bastad campaign with a 6-4, 6-4 win over compatriot Francisco Cerundolo, had reached the semifinal of the Cordoba Open earlier this year. He defeated Dominik Koepfer, Francisco Cerundolo and Benoit Paire en route, but fell to Juan Manuel Cerundolo in the semifinal.
Coria, who is 12-12 in 2021, will be aiming to reach a first tour-level final on Saturday.

Hanfmann Yet to Drop a Set
Standing between Coria and a first ATP final will be Germany’s Yannick Hanfmann, who ended qualifier Arthur Rinderknech’s run in the tournament with a 6-4, 6-3 win on Friday.
Winning 93% (28/30) first serve points, Hanfmann broke his opponent four times and got broken just once in the one-hour-and-25-minute contest.
The German, ranked 107th in the world, has reached the semifinals without dropping a set this week. Hanfmann defeated Brazil’s Thiago Monteiro 6-2, 7-5 in the first round and then knocked out seventh seed Czech Jiri Vesely 6-4, 6-3 in the Round of 16.
The win improved Hanfmann to 9-10 this year and 6-2 on clay.
This has been the best tournament so far for the German, who reached a career-high ranking of 92 in May this year. His best before this was a quarterfinal finish in Cagliari.
On Saturday, Hanfmann will aim to reach a third ATP final. He finished runner-up to Fabio Fognini in GStaad in 2017 and to Miomir kecmanovic in Kitzbuhel last year.
Coria v Hanfmann Prediction and Tip
Coria is coming off two tough wins, while it’s been an easy ride for Hanfmann so far in the tournament. It will be an intriguing contest as both are solid clay court players. Expect Hanfmann to give a tough fight but Coria to reach a maiden ATP final.
