Ruusuvouri Coming off Atlanta Semi-Final

Ruusuvouri earlier this year created headlines when he beat Alexander Zverev – the newly crowned Olympic champion – at the Miami Masters  and went on to reach the fourth round there, his best result in a Masters 1000 event.

And, to prove how much he enjoys playing on American hard courts, last week the Finnish number one reached the semi-finals in Atlanta, beating Benoît Paire and Cameron Norrie along the way, before losing to the American Brandon Nakashima in three sets.

He has yet to win a senior title. However, he has appeared in twelve finals on the junior tours, winning ten of them, all on hard courts.

Gunneswaran Looking to Get Back to His Best

Gunneswaran is currently the second-highest ranked Indian player, and won a bronze medal for his country at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta. He has won 10 titles on the junior tours, although his last success came on home soil in Bangalore in November 2018.

He did, though, make two Challenger finals last November, losing first in Cary and then Orlando in the USA.

This is the first time he has qualified for the main draw of an ATP event this year, and he made it by winning too matches, both in straight sets.

First he beat Luke Saville of Australia, the world number 423, and then followed that up with victory over the 179th ranked Go Soeda of Japan

Ruusuvouri v Guuneswaran Prediction and Tip
