Veronika Kudermetova v Jasmine Paolini Head to Head

However, the 24-year-old comes to Cincinnati having won just 1 of her last 6 matches, this win came last week in Montreal where she defeated Putintseva in a 3-set-battle.
The Russian has been dealt some rough draws though, drawing eventual semi-finalist Golubic in the first round of Wimbledon where she lost in 3-6 6-1 11-9 in an epic 2-hour 46 battle.
Secondly, then drawing Muguruza in the opening round of the Olympics. Her Cincinnati opener is less cruel, as she faces 98th ranked Jasmine Paolini.

Paolini Looking for WTA Success
Paolini successfully navigated her way through qualifying by recording 2 impressive wins against higher ranked opponents Sevastova and Vekic to secure an opening fixture against Kudermetova.
The Italian hasn’t had the most success on the WTA circuit this year, failing to win back-to-back matches and progress further than the second round at any WTA event.
Jasmine’s success has been apparent on the challenger circuit though. Firstly, Paolini made it all the way to the final in Saint-Malo, before losing out to Golubic 6-1 6-3 in the final.
Secondly, in Croatia, she went all the way and took home some silverware, winning 5 matches and defeating Arantxa Rus of the Netherlands in the final 6-2 7-6(4) to lift the trophy.
Holding serve is going to be key against Kudermetova as any opportunities will be sacred and Jasmine will have to take her opportunities.
