Karolina Pliskova v Amanda Anisimova Head to Head
Pliskova leads Anisimova 3-0, last defeating her as recently as the Canadian Open just a few weeks ago. The Czech won that match 6-1, 7-6(8).

Among the four Grand Slams that exist on the tour, it is the US Open where Pliskova has delivered her best, consistent results. She was a finalist here in 2016 and followed that with back to back quarterfinal appearances in the subsequent seasons.
The 29-year-old Czech had a slow start to the 2021 season but has picked up the pace considerably in the last few months. Pliskova was the finalist in three big tournaments – the Italian Open, Wimbledon, and Canadian Open. Unfortunately, she missed out on the title on all three instances.
Before travelling to New York, she played in the Western & Southern Open where Pliskova delivered another deep run – this time by reaching the semis where the World No. 4 fell to Jil Teichmann.
Clearly, she is in prime form at the moment as she started her campaign in the final major of the year with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Caty McNally.

Anisimova Overcomes Diyas
20-year-old Amanda Anisimova is off to a good start at the Flushing Meadows. She knocked out Zarina Diyas of Kazakhstan 7-5, 6-2, in just 68 minutes.
The youngster has battled a great deal with her form over the course of the year and as a result, she has now fallen down to the #75th spot in the singles ranking. But as a junior US Open champion, the stage is set for Anisimova to stage a resurgence and reclaim the former glory that put her on the map a couple of seasons ago.
Going by her recent form and the litany of impressive results the American has delivered over the course of the season, she is capable of upsetting Pliskova. In the Canadian Bank Open, she reached the third round as a qualifier while in the WTA Parma a couple of months ago, she was a quarterfinalist.
And then there’s also the fact that over the course of her career so far, Anisimova has already delivered wins over several top players like Simona Halep, Petra Kvitova, Elina Svitolina, Aryna Sabalenka, and Daria Kasatkina.
Pliskova v Anisimova Prediction and Tip
Pliskova will start as the favourite but Anisimova is one of those players who is capable of striking hard well above her weight.
