Moselle Open Winner Hurkacz

Hurkacz has enjoyed a highly successful year, winning his second senior career event in January in Delray Beach and, in April, becoming the first Polish player to win a Masters 1000 title at the Miami Open.

And he has just come from the Moselle Open where he won his third tournament of the year, beating Pablo Carreno-Busta in Sunday’s fianl in straight sets.

And, to add to those achievements, Hurkacz reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon, beating Daniil Medvedev and Roger Federer along the way. His progress was eventually ended by Matteo Berrettini, but that still represented by some considerable distance his best ever showing at a Grand Slam tournament.

All that has helped propel him up the world rankings and his next target is to break in to the top ten in the world.

Bolt Beats Anderson in Qualifying

By contrast, Bolt has enjoyed a more modest career, although, he did reach his first ATP quarter-final on home soil at the Adelaide International last year.

He spends most of his time on the Challenger tour and won his first title for three years on the grass of Nottingham in June, defeating another Pole,  Kamil Majchrzak, in the final.

Since then, he qualified for the main draws in Newport and Los Cabos respectively, and, although he lost in the first round in Rhode Island, did better in Mexico and got to the third round before losing to John Isner.

He came through qualifying in San Diego, beating first the American Alafia Ayeni, and then the former South African Grand Slam finalist Kevin Anderson.

Hurkacz v Bolt Prediction and Tip

Hurkacz will start the odds-on favourite for this match, and the only thing that may stop him is if he feels any fatigue after flying from France, and is still too carried away after his victory in Metz on Sunday.
