Jasmine Paolini v Saisai Zheng Head to Head
Paolini won their only previous meeting in Guangzhou in 2019, winning the Round of 16 match in three sets.

Italy’s Jasmine Paolini battled past Ukraine’s Dayana Yastremska in the first round of the Linz Open on Monday.
The World No. 51 got a break in the very first game of the match, but Yastremska got it back a few games later to draw level at 4-4. Paolini restored the advantage in the next game and then held on to go one-set up.
Yastremska once again was the first to drop serve in the next set, finding herself 1-2 down after a five-deuce game, but she responded quickly, winning the next four games and eventually closing out the set to force the decider.
Paolini didn’t drop serve again in the match but broke her opponent two more times to clinch the two-hour-and-14-minute contest 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.
It’s been a terrific season for the Italian who is currently on her career-high ranking. She came into the tournament with a 32-23 record from all levels this season and that included her maiden WTA 250 title in Portoroz, Slovenia.
Paolini, who also featured in two WTA 125 finals this year, winning the title in Bol and finishing runner-up in Sant-Malo, was a semifinalist in Courmayeur and will be looking for another last eight berth on Tuesday.

Zheng Storms Into the Second Round
Facing Paolini in the next round will be China’s Saisai Zheng, who had a shaky start in her first round against France’s Clara Burel but found her feet quickly to dispatch the Frenchwoman 6-4, 6-1 in an hour and 26 minutes.
Ranked 87th in the world, the 27-year-old improved her season record to 18-18 from all levels following Sunday’s win.
A quarterfinalist in Monterrey and Tenerife she will be aiming to make the last eight for the third time at the top level this season.
In the first round against Burel, she lost the first three games of the match before winning five consecutive games and then holding on to the lead to take the first set. Having seized control, she dominated the second breaking her opponent thrice to wrap-up the contest with ease.
Paolini v Zheng Prediction and Tip
This is expected to be a good contest with Zheng giving a tough fight, but Paolini should eventually have the last laugh. The Italian to win in three.
