29-year-old Filip Krajinovic ended the 2021 season with a win-loss tally of 19-23. Most of his season was largely underwhelming, barring a runner-up feat in the Hamburg Open. The Serbian defeated Philipp Kohlschreiber and Stefanos Tsitsipas before succumbing to Pablo Carreno Busta in the final.
Towards the end of the season, the current World No. 42 also reached the semifinal in the Sofia Open where he fell to Jannik Sinner. These runs, alongside a couple of third-round feats in the Australian Open, Dubai, and Belgrade, were among the best runs of his season.
Krajinovic is yet to win a singles title in his career and hopefully, that is something that can change in 2022. For now, he finds himself facing a largely inexperienced opponent in Durasovic.

Durasovic, Battling on ITF Circuit
Not a lot of people may have heard of Viktor Durasovic and in all fairness, they can’t be faulted for it. The 24-year-old Norwegian is currently ranked World No. 345 and spends the majority of his time in low-tier events.
In 2021, Durasovic featured in ITF tournaments where he won two titles and settled for the runner-up feat in another. His only experience on the ATP Tour came in Stockholm and Bastad where he won just two matches and lost one.
As for his performance in the ATP Cup, this will be the second time he is set to participate in the competition. He last played here in 2020 – back then, he lost all three of his robin round fixtures to Taylor Fritz, Stefano Travaglia, and Karen Khachanov.

Anything but a win will be unacceptable from Krajinovic. After all, he is the far superior player here with plenty of experience and skills. This is a one-sided affair or, in other words, a safe bet.
