Marton Fucsovics v Egor Gerasimov Head to Head
The pair have met once before on the senior tour, and that was in a Melbourne warm-up event last year, Gerasimov winning in three sets.
There were also four previous meetings between the pair on the Challenger tour, Fucsovics winning three of those matches.

Fucsovics had a decidedly mixed 2021, with the year starting brightly for the Hungarian number one before then tailing off.
That hot spell saw him reach the final in Rotterdam and the last eight in both Doha and Dubai, but he struggled on clay, until his season was partially redeemed by reaching the quarterfinals on grass at Wimbledon and then, later in the year, in Antwerp.
However, he has enjoyed good results on Australian soil in the ;past – reaching the last 16 of the Grand Slam here in 2018, and again two years later.

Former Belarus Number One Gerasimov
Gerasimov was the long-standing Belarusian number one until he was put in the shade by the achievements of Ilya Ivashka last season.
It is now almost two years since he reached his only ATP final to date, losing to Jiri Vesely in Pune, and he has struggled to match that level since.
Forced to enter qualifying in Adelaide, he breezed past the local man Henry Lamchinnah, dropping just the one game in the match.
Radu Albot of Moldova posed more of a serious challenge, and, after Gerasimov had taken the first set int their match, he suffered the indignity of losing the second set to love. Ho0weevr, he regained his composure in the third set and eventually claimed the match comfortably.
Fucsovics v Gerasimov Prediction and Tip
Both men will be aware that the last time they met was also in a Melbourne warm-up event, and that the man from Belarus won that match a year ago. That will make Fucsovics even more determined to ensure there is no repeat, and he will want to start the new year on a winning note.
