Cameron Norrie v Oscar Otte Head to Head

The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 26-year old British player, and the German, who is two years older.

Norrie Searching for 2021 Form

Norrie has yet to find the form in 2022 which made last year the best of his career.

In the course of six months, he reached five finals, and won two of them, including the Indian Wells Masters, and he earned enough points to feature as an alternate in the year ending ATP Finals in Milan.

His stay in Australia was very disappointing. He lost all three matches he  played for Britain in the ATP Cup, and, at the Australian Open, where he was the number 12 seed, he was beaten in straight sets in the first round by the American Sebastian Korda.

Back in Europe, he at last got back to winning ways in Rotterdam, beating first Ugo Humbert of France, and then Karen Khachanov of Russia, before his run was ended at the quarter-final stage by the man who went on to win it, Felix Augur-Aliassime.

He was given a first round bye in Delray Beach.

Otte Reaches All-Time High Ranking

Otte is now at an all-time high career ranking, building on a fine 2021 which saw him qualify for three successive Grand Slams and reach the fourth round of the US Open for the first time in his career.

Victory in a Challenger event in Bari was a good way to sign off his campaign.

There were signs that he was picking up where he left off in Australia, coming through qualifying to make the main draw in Adelaide, only to lose in the first round.

However, he did record his first ever victory at the Australian Open, beating the wildcard Chun Hsin Tseng from Taiwan, before losing to the Italian world number 21, Lorenzo Sonego, in four set.

He was beaten in the first round in Dallas by the American Jack Sock, but made a winning start in Delray Beach by defeating the Japanese player Yoshida Nishikori.

Norrie v Otte Prediction and Tip

Although Norrie has yet to find his best form in 2022, he should be too strong for Otte.
