Filip Krajinovic v Malek Jaziri Head to Head

The pair have played each other once before, in the second round in Moscow eight years ago, Krajinovic winning in straight sets.

Montpellier Semi-Finalist Krajinovic

Krajinovic reached his first senior final in two years in Hamburg last July, having to settle to the runner-up spot to Pablo Carreno-Busta, having lost the other three as well.

His form since then has been mixed, although he did win two of his three singles matches playing for Serbia in the ATP Cup.

The Australian Open was a major disappointment, as he was beaten in the first round in straight sets by Diego Schwartzman, but he bounced back in Montpellier, where he reached the semi-final, before losing to the eventual winner Alexander Bublik.

From there he travelled to Rotterdam, only to lose his opening match, beaten in three sets by Marton Fucsovics.

Arab Veteran Jaziri

Jaziri’s inclusion in the main draw at least ensures there is Arab representation in the tournament. He was similarly given a wildcard in Doha last week, where he was beaten by the Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina.

Now 38, Jaziri is in the advanced years of a long career, which saw him once reach a s high as 73 in the world rankings in 2019, a year after reaching his only senior ATP final in Istanbul, where he lost to the Japanese player Taro Daniel.

Nowadays he spends his time mainly on the Challenger tour, but the last time he won a match in the main draw of any event was back last August on clay, in a Challenger event staged in the Czech Republic.

Krajinovic v Jaziri Prediction and Tip

It would be a major shock if this resulted in anything other than an easy win for the Serb.
