Brengle Benefits from Azarenka Withdrawal
While her opponent in this match hasn’t reached the third round in any of the tournaments she has played this season, Brengle has done it twice already.
And this time around, it was thanks to her opponent Victoria Azarenka’s injury and subsequent withdrawal that helped her come through.
Brengle had earlier registered a straight-set victory over Ipek Oz in her first round match before that Azarenka non-match. Coming from someone who had last week failed to qualify for the main draw of the Dubai Open, this would be a huge confidence-booster.
Can she, however, take down Muguruza despite the huge difference in their rankings?
