Dominik Koepfer v Benoit Paire Head to Head
There has been one previous meeting between these two players and it came at the 2021 Geneva Open on clay. Koepfer overcame Paire in that match in a tough, three-setter to move into the round two.

We are in the third month of the season and Koepfer has featured in just three matches so far, winning just one of them.
And having played in just one previous edition of the Indian Wells Masters and losing in the first round last season, it would be interesting to see if he can go one better this year and try to add to his points tally.
What he would like to do is to shake off the rust he might have accumulated having not played too much tennis. His last match came in middle of January where he was sent out of Australian Open by Reilly Opelka, Koepfer losing in straight sets.
Before that, in his only previous tournament for the season, Koepfer had gone down in straight sets to Tallon Griekspoor in the first round.

Paire on a Five-Match Losing Streak
Since the start of the pandemic in early 2020, Paire’s form has hit the brakes and the acceleration has never quite come back. And it’s continued right into this season where Paire, ranked 53rd right now, has lost seven of the nine matches he’s played in 2022.
The only time Paire showed some signs of sparkle was at Australian Open where he stunned Grigor Dimitrov in the second round. Since then, the Frenchman has lost five matches in a row including four in the first rounds of tournaments.
More interestingly, in each of those matches he lost, Paire was the second-favourite – such has been his fall from his best.
And now, while he faces a player who hasn’t played a lot of tennis this season, it would be difficult to see him turn things around.
