Andrey Rublev v Hubert Hurkacz Head to Head
Hurkacz holds a 2-1 lead over Rublev, last upsetting him in the Miami Masters 2021. They also met as recently as the Dubai Championships in February where Rublev prevailed in the semifinal in three sets.

Andrey Rublev, currently ranked World No. 7, is having himself a brilliant season with back to back titles in Marseille and Dubai. The 24-year-old also reached the semifinal in Rotterdam but fell just two wins shy of successfully defending his title there.
His tally for the season – including his exploits at Indian Wells – now stands at an impressive 16-2. More impressively, Rublev also reached the final in two Masters events last season (Monte-Carlo and Cincinnati), making his prospects of a third one in the valley a possible reality.
The number seven seed is yet to drop a set in the competition; he made quick work of Dominik Koepfer and Frances Tiafoe to reach the round of 16.
Rublev also holds a decent record against several top 10 players. Over the course of his career, he has beaten the likes of Stefanos Tstisipas, Daniil Medvedev, Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem, and Roger Federer. With this kind of pedigree and overall form, he is likely to trouble Hurkacz.

Hurkacz Knocks out Johnson
Hubert Hurkacz joined the final 16 after dismissing the local favourite Steve Johnson 7-6(7), 6-3. In the preceding match, the number 11 seed faced some resistance from Oscar Otte but managed to surpass him with 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.
While the 25-year-old Polish hasn’t had a spectacular season like Rublev’s, he has been consistent enough to keep himself afloat in the top 15. He is the world number 11 at the moment and his heroics in 2022 entail a semifinal stint in the ATP Cup and ATP Dubai.
Hurkacz has also reached the quarterfinal in Tennis Paradise in both his appearances at the tournament; add to this equation his title run in the Miami Masters from last season, one can see that he is very much a strong contender to reach the final stages.
Like Rublev, Hurkacz has also delivered his fair share of impressive wins. The precedent is set for him to build on.
Rublev v Hurkacz Prediction and Tip
Two of their last three meetings have ended in three sets. In all likelihood, we may be in store for a similar outcome this time too.
Between the two, Rublev will start as the heavy odds-on favourite but Hurkacz’s chances of winning are quite strong as well. This can swing either way.
