Alexander Zverev v Borna Coric Head to Head
There have been five previous meetings between these two players and Coric, rather surprisingly, is 3-2 ahead on head to head. Four of these meetings came on hard court surfaces and it’s 2-2 on it, while their only other match came on the grass courts of Halle.

He is ranked fourth in the world but Zverev fell to a stunning second round loss at Indian Wells Masters two weeks ago. After getting a first round bye, the German fell in three sets to Tommy Paul in what was one of the biggest early upsets of the tournament.
And it’s not like he has been in the kind of form he would like either.
Sure there was a final in Montpellier that he would look back fondly at but a straight-set loss to Alexander Bublik in that match followed by getting defaulted out at Acapulco would have not gone down too well with Zverev.
Earlier he had failed to make it past the fourth round at the Australian Open either and Zverev would now hope he can get going here in Miami.

Coric Too Strong for Verdasco
It took him an hour and 50 minutes but Coric managed to register his first win in a while on the tour when he overcame Fernando Verdasco in the first round.
Coric won 6-4, 7-5 with four breaks of serves in the encounter as opposed to getting broken twice on his own.
The first set looked to be headed into a tie-breaker, with Verdasco facing just one break point till the ninth game. It was in the 10th game that Coric got her second break-point for the set which he utilised and scooped up the set.
In the second, Coric looked to have gotten himself a good position by racing off to a 4-1 lead, but then lost his serve two times in a row to give Verdasco a chance to level terms.
Coric broke back in the 10th game, and then again in the 12th to turn the match in his favour.

Zverev v Coric Prediction and Tip
Zverev, despite his recent discomfiture, should not have a lot of problem coming into this encounter and complete a straight-set win over a player who has had a decent record against him.
