Katerina Siniakova v Daria Saville Head to Head
Saville holds a 2-0 lead over Siniakova though both those wins came when the Australian was in a much better form in 2016-17.

World No. 249 Daria Saville has had a comfortable journey so far in Miami. Starting with a wildcard, she moved past Greet Minnen (7-5, 6-3) and Harmony Tan (6-4, 6-2) without breaking a sweat. She may also have been a bit fortunate, seeing that she was originally slated to play Simona Halep but the latter withdrew.
Having reached the fourth round in Indian Wells Open as a qualifier (beating Ons Jabeur and Elise Mertens en route), Saville arrived in Florida with a fair bit of momentum.
The former world number 20 has made some significant strides on the tour this season, seeing that she started the year outside the top 400. Her form has improved gradually with the run in Tennis Paradise preceded by a quarterfinal stint in Guadalajara.
Admittedly, there were concerns about whether the 28-year-old would be fit enough to play as she withdrew from her match against Maria Sakkari in the valley last week.
Saville has been out of action for most of 2020 and 2021 due to injuries but of late, she has been playing some fine tennis. If she can keep her health in check, there is no reason why she can’t move further.

Siniakova Knocks Out Raducanu
Doubles World No. 1 Katerina Siniakova dispatched Emma Raducanu in the Miami Open round two with 3-6, 6-4, 7-5. While the Czech was tested by the Brit, she fought handsomely to mark her best showing in the tournament.
Interestingly enough, Siniakova had to come back in her opening match as well against Rebecca Marino. She went a set down before winning the match 3-6, 6-2, 6-1.
This feat also marks the first time this season that she has won more than one main-draw match in an event. Up until now, Siniakova had to settle for premature upsets. That said, she more than made up for it with doubles titles in Melbourne Set and the Australian Open.
Nonetheless, the 25-year-old has reached six singles finals in her career so she is not entirely ill-equipped to take on this fixture.
Siniakova v Gavrilova Prediction and Tip
This should be an exciting match. Siniakova has an incredible pedigree while Gavrilova is rich with main-tour experience. This can very well swing either way but we are quite possibly looking at a long, dragged out affair.
