Federico Coria v Mirza Basic Head to Head
This will be their first tour-level match. They met once on the Challenger Tour last year, with Coria winning in straight sets.

Argentina’s Federico Coria knocked out seventh seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the first round in Marrakech on Tuesday.
Both traded a break early in the first set, but it was a second break that Coria got in the 12th game that proved to be decisive in the first set. The Spaniard saved four break points in the second game of the second set before taking control of the set. He won four consecutive games to force the decider but couldn’t keep the momentum going.
Coria put the disappointment of the second set behind quickly as he raced to a 5-1 lead in the third. Davidovich Fokina pulled a break back, but that wasn’t enough as the World no. 60 completed a 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 victory in two hours and 18 minutes.
The win over the World no. 45, improved Coria to 7-7 this season. The 30-year-old reached back-to-back quarterfinals in Buenos Aires and Rio but struggled on the hard courts. Back on familiar turf he will be looking to reach another quarterfinal this season.

Basic Ousts Kamil Majchrzak
Bosnia’s Mirza Basic had a 0-1 record this year having played just one tour level match at the Davis cup and lost that. However, he got his first tour-level main draw win on Wednesday, as he came back from a set down to oust World No. 76 Kamil Majchrzak of Poland.
Basic, who won his only title in Sofia in 2018, had lost the first set after conceding the sole break of the set in the last game. He fell further back in the contest as the Pole took a 0-2 lead in the second. But the 30-year-old made a remarkable recovery, breaking Majchrzak twice and forcing the decider.
The Bosnian then ran away with the third, breaking the pole three more times to win 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 in just under two hours.
Ranked 215th in the world, Basic has more experience playing on hard courts on the Tour and the Challenger level. He has done well on clay at the ITF level, winning our of s=his seven ITF titles on the surface.
Coria v Basic Prediction and Tip
Coria is an excellent player on clay and last year, he reached his maiden ATP final in Bastad. He has been doing well on the surface this year as well. Expect him to reach a third quarterfinal of the season with a win on Thursday.
