Marton Fucsovics v Llyod Harris Head to Head
The tally is tied at 2-2 at the moment; Fucsovics got the last laugh in their 2022 Doha encounter. Interestingly, this will be their first match on the clay surface.

World No. 57 Marton Fucsovics is hoping for a good time in Monte-Carlo as the Hungarian kickstarts the clay swing. So far this season, the 30-year-old has had a muted campaign.
With a tally of 7-9, his highlights entail back-to-back quarterfinal runs in Rotterdam and Doha. In Dubai, Indian Wells, and Miami Open, he was beaten in the early rounds – respectively by Denis Shapovalov, Mackenzie McDonald, and Carlos Alcaraz.
Fucsovics endured a similar rut last season with the sole exception of his runner-up feat in Rotterdam and a quarterfinal stint in Wimbledon. The Hungarian ended the season with 26-24.
He didn’t have that great time on clay, however, which is quite surprising since most of his pre-tour victories came on this surface. Of the 12 ITF finals Fucsovics has reached, seven of them came on clay courts. Even his first singles title came at the Geneva Open.

Harris in a Rut
Lloyd Harris of South Africa is going through a rocky spell; his tally for the year stands at 5-8 and has started performing only recently.
Up until the Indian Wells Masters, the 25-year-old had lost five consecutive first-round matches in 2022 spread across Adelaide 2, Australian Open, Rotterdam Open, ATP Dubai, and ATP Doha.
Then in the two American Masters, the #40-ranked Harris found his groove and delivered a couple of respectable performances. In Tennis Paradise, he fell in round three to Matteo Berrettini while in Miami, he succumbed to Hubert Hurkacz in round four.
Compared to Fucsovics, Harris’s pedigree on clay isn’t noticeable at all; the Protean has only one ITF final on this surface and zero ATP finals. This is also his first time in Monte-Carlo.
Fucsovics v Harris Prediction and Tip
Fucsovics has a slight advantage on account of his experience and comparatively better form on clay. That said, his inconsistency makes a good position for Harris to capitalise on.
This match can swing either way but we may very well be looking at a long match.
