Lloyd Harris v Alejandro Davidovich Fokina Head to Head

Davidovich Fokina Turns Things Around in Monte Carlo
For a player who had broken into the top 30, Alejandro Fokina’s season was going haywire till he arrived in Monte Carlo.
The Spaniard had won just four of the 13 matches he had played in, having lost in the first round in the first clay court tournament he featured in, at the Marrakesh Open.
Which is when he took to court for his second round encounter of the Monte-Carlo Masters against the world number one, Novak Djokovic, the writing looked to be on the wall.
Except, Alejandro Fokina did not quite read the script as he resisted Djokovic’s tenacity and registered a shock, three-set win.
He went on to defeat David Goffin, Taylor Fritz and Grigor Dimitrov to reach the final before falling to Stefanos Tsitsipas.
And while Alejandro Fokina was shocked by Frances Tiafoe in the quarterfinal at Estoril earlier this year, he will enter this match knowing he has the form and confidence to dictate the terms.
