Anna Kalinskaya v Lucia Bronzetti Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the two 23 year olds. The pair were due to meet in March in Miami, but Kalinskaya pulled out of their third round match due to injury.

Kalinskaya has had her struggles with form over the year and, at one stage last year, her world ranking dropped as low as 151st in the world, before she began a career resurgence.
In part that was precipitated by her form in doubles events – she reached three finals in 2021 with three different partners, and won two of them.
In her days on the junior tours she proved she could play on clay by winning five tournaments on that surface.
This, though, will be her first senior WTA clay court tournament this year, although she has played in two French Challenger events this month, losing in the first round in Saint-Malo, and the second in Paris.

Bronzetti on the Rise
Bronzetti rose almost two hundred places in the world rankings in 2021 off the back of five ITF final appearances in five months, all but one of them on clay. She won two of the events.
And she has already been a winner in 2022, claiming victory in April in Switzerland again on her favourite surface of clay.
All that has helped her not only break into the top 100 for the first time but to continue to rise further still, and she is now starting to translate that form to the senior tour as well, reaching the fourth round in Miami after coming through qualifying.
However, she failed to qualify for Madrid, and was knocked out in the first round in Rome.
