Barbora Krejcikova v Marta Kostyuk Head to Head

Life on the tennis court looked to be going just the way Krejcikova would have hoped for at the start of the season when she made it to the Sydney International, was the quarter-finalist at the Australian Open in the singles draw and went on to win the title in the doubles category.
Things, however, unravelled quickly after that for Krejcikova who won just two matches in the next two tournaments she participated in Dubai and Doha, before she pulled out of the Indian Wells Open because of an elbow injury.
It took her three months to recover from that fitness issue, missing all the clay court competitions which followed as well, other than the French Open.
Entering the season’s second Grand Slam as the defending champion, Krejcikova was sent packing in the very first round by the unheralded Diane Parry. That has been her only match in three matches and she now returns to the surface she has had very little success.

Kostyuk Slams Past Golubic
She was 6/4 underdog to win her opening match against Viktorija Golubic and Kostyuk managed to do that with some ease to move into the second round.
Kostyuk was on court for a little over an hour before dispatching Golubic 6-2, 6-1, with four aces and five breaks of serves punctuating her effort. In turn, Kostyuk was broken once as well, but by then she was already a set and 2-0 up in the second set.
Before this, Kostyuk had been on a three-match losing streak, all of which had come on clay.
To add to that, this was just her third win on grass, making it a rare career event on grass for her anyway. Can she now take down a rusty-looking Krejcikova?

Krejcikova might be a favourite here but Kostyuk has the weapons to trouble a player who might not be fully fit other than someone who is that rusty as well.
