Kaja Juvan v Dalma Galfi Head to Head

Going into Wimbledon, Beatriz Haddad Maia was one of the dark horses for the tournament given the kind of form she had in the lead-up – winning two titles on grass and then making it to the semifinals in Eastbourne.
Which is why Juvan was a whopping 14/5 in this opening round match against Haddad Maia and yet, managed to come away a 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 winner over her Brazilian opponent.
On court for an hour and 58 minutes, Juvan held her nerve in the first set, as she faced no break-points to take it to 4-4. Juvan then held for a 5-4 lead before getting a chance to break her opponent and did that to go one up.
The second set saw Haddad Maia wrest back some of the control but if one thought the world number 28 had taken control of the encounter, Juvan had another thing coming for them. She broke her opponent twice in the final set to complete the win.

Galfi Scrapes Past Inglis
She was 9/20 starting out against Madison Inglis but Galfi made heavy weather of getting past her Aussie opponent in her opener.
Galfi was on court for two hours and eight minutes and finally won by breaking Inglis for the fifth time in a match of fine margins. It came in the fifth game of the final set that took her 4-1 up and very soon she was serving for the match at 5-1.
While Inglis broke back once, Galfi had another chance at 5-4 where she converted her very first match-point to clinch her first career win at a Grand Slam.
This win follows a title win at the ITF Ilkley competition at which Galfi had overcome three of her opponents in three sets to come through, and she would now hope to make it a seventh win in a row.
Juvan v Galfi Prediction and Tip
Given how things have been for Galfi, having won four successive wins in three sets, one can expect that kind of a fight from her yet again. Juvan could face that heat but should come through in three.
