Caroline Garcia v Chloe Paquet Head to Head
Garcia leads 3-1; they last met in 2019 in Jurmala, where Paquet delivered her first win over her rival in three sets.

Former world number four Caroline Garcia has enjoyed a good few weeks of late, playing with absolute consistency and determination.
In fact, in her last three tournaments, she has turned around her abysmal first half of the season and pulled her tally to a respectable 20-13.
Garcia’s resurgence started in Bad Homburg, where she won the title after dispatching Bianca Andreescu in the final. That was followed by a R16 appearance in Wimbledon – in that tournament, her exploits entailed impressive victories over Emma Raducanu and Shuai Zhang.
Then last week in Lausanne, Caroline reached her third semifinal of the 2022 season after moving past Jasmine Paolini, Leolia Jeanjean, and Sara Sorribes Tormo without dropping a set.
With these results, the current French Open doubles champion has already recorded her best season since 2018 – and looks well on track to rise further.
Paquet Has Wind in her Sails
28-year-old, World No. 110 Chloe Paquet has prepared well for the Palermo Ladies Open 2022. Competing in ITF Rome last week, she reached the final but fell to Tara Wurth in straight sets.
Nonetheless, it was her first final of any sort since October last year, and a run like this should do well for her confidence. Chloe’s season now stands at 22-20, with most of her wins coming in ITF events.
Paquet has never quite made it past the opening matches on the WTA Tour. The only exception to this is WTA Guadalajara, where she reached round two – only to lose to Sloane Stephens.
Garcia v Paquet Prediction and Tip
Anything short of a straight-set win should be unacceptable for Garcia. After all, she is far more experienced, has a superior trophy collection, and is well-versed in playing at an elite level on the circuit.
She is also cruising on the momentum of her recent heroics; all in all, the number five seed should do well to win this one comfortably.
