He is just 18 years of age and that shows in his lack of experience at the highest level with Topo having played just two matches in his career so far.
Having featured in a handful of Futures and Challenger competitions, Topo hasn’t won any title even at that level but did well to qualify for the main draw of his third ATP level tournament here in Hamburg.
He was the second favourite going into both those qualifying rounds, and yet, overcame Stefano Travaglia and Rudolf Molleker in successive matches to enter the main draw here.
Topo’s previous two appearances at the highest level had come in Belgrade last year and Munich Open earlier this season.
