The last match Marie Bouzkova played was the Wimbledon quarterfinal which she lost to Ons Jabeur. It was the final instalment in a very successful year for the Czech Player, a year which can be considered as a break year for her.
The record certainly backs that up as it’s 26-10 overall which is superb considering she was only 16-21 last year. It’s been a long time coming for Bouzkova who has always had a lot of talent but never quite figured things out. This year it’s finally working.
Her style is of the attacking sort and that works well in the world of WTA tennis if you execute it well. This year it certainly was that way for the most part.
She is 17-6 on hard courts and a chance to play on that surface at home should certainly give her confidence heading into this one.

Kraus On A Mission
Sinja Kraus is on a mission this year and that mission is proving she belongs. The 20-year-old is having an excellent year with a 45-19 record and it’s the reason she is close to making her top 200 debut. There is some talent there and if she works hard enough she might end up being a great player.
It’s a process for Kraus as it’s for one any young player. To get in the main draw, Kraus had to play the qualifiers and it’s been okay. She won the first match but lost the 2nd one getting into the main draw nonetheless.
Kraus is somewhat unknown in the bigger tennis circles and that could play to her advantage. Bouzkova is known to take some time to get going so perhaps Kraus can make things interesting.
Bouzkova v Kraus Prediction and Tip
So I think this will be a pretty easy win for Bouzkova. I just don’t see the young player beating Bouzkova in the middle of the year she is having.
Marie did not play for a while and that could play a factor here but I don’t see her struggling too much. Better and at home, what’s not to like.
