Botic van de Zandschulp v Frances Tiafoe Head to Head
This will be the first time that van de Zandschulp and Tiafoe will be facing off in a competitive encounter.

After a first round bye, van de Zandschulp would have expected to come through with some ease against his 198th-ranked opponent, Borna Gojo but that wasn’t to be.
The Dutchman was on court for more than three hours and needed two tie-breakers in his three-setter to carve out a win against Gojo.
Van de Zandschulp overcame Gojo 7-6 (6), 6-7 (5), 6-4 after frittering away a match-point on his opponent’s serve in the second set.
In what turned out to be a very cagey encounter, there were a total of just three breaks of serves, two of which came in the first four games of the match. Following that, it was the two tie-breakers that followed other than the ninth game of the final set in which van de Zandschulp finally got a chance to get the better of his opponent’s serve.
He did that and clinched his final eight spot.

Tiafoe Crosses the Christopher Barrier
It wasn’t as straightforward a win as Tiafoe would have expected but it was a straight-set victory alright that saw the American move into the third round of the competition.
Following a first round bye, Tiafoe was on court for an hour and 24 minutes against Christopher Eubanks, winning 6-3, 7-6 (2). Enduring eight aces from Eubanks, Tiafoe faced just one break-point in the entire match and saved it easily.
In contrast he broke Eubanks twice in the first set and then eased past him in the second set tie-breaker.
Tiafoe had earlier reached the fourth round at Wimbledon and semifinal in Atlanta and would be a favourite here to continue showing similar form.
van de Zandschulp v Tiafoe Prediction and Tip
Tiafoe has the form on his side and while van de Zandschulp isn’t much of a pushover, we could see the American ease his way through here.
