Karolina Pliskova v Amanda Anisimova Head to Head

No. 14 seed Karolina Pliskova made a solid start at the Canadian Open, defeating compatriot Barbora Krejcikova and advancing into the next round.
Pliskova needed just an hour and 39 minutes to beat the World No. 19, 6-3, 6-4. With the win Pliskova extended her perfect head-to-head record against Krejcikova to 4-0.
The World no. 14 converted 5 of 6 break points and saved 6 of 9 to improve her season record to 11-12.
Pliskova, who finished runner-up to Camila Giorgi in 2021, missed the early part of 2022 due to a hand injury. She has mostly struggled since making a return to court in Indian Wells.
Her best this year was a run to the semifinal in Strasbourg and a quarterfinal finish in Berlin.
Having kicked off her campaign with a strong performance against a quality opponent, the two time Grand Slam finalist will be looking to continue the momentum in the next round.

Anisimova Makes an Impressive Start
Amanda Anisimova needed just 56 minutes to thrash Carol Zhao on Tuesday and reach the second round of the Canadian Open.
The 20-year-old American saved 4 of 5 break points and converted 5 of 7 to beat the Canadian 6-1, 6-3.
With the victory, Anisimova improved her season record to 32-12. The World No. 22, who was a quarterfinalist in the last three tournaments in Bad Homburg, Wimbledon and San Jose, had begun the season by winning the Melbourne Summer Set 2 title.
The two-time tour-level champion is making her second appearance at the Canadian Open. Last year, Anisimova made it to the third round. Can she match that performance with a win in the second round?
Pliskova v Anisimova Prediction and Tip
Pliskova is the seeded player and also has a better head to head record. However, it will be Anisimova who will be going in with the psychological advantage, as she came back from a set down to beat Pliskova in San Jose last week.
