Stefanos Tsitsipas v Borna Coric Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between these two players and both have won one apiece. While Tsitsipas had won a match in Rome on clay when his opponent retired in the first set, Coric made it 1-1 with a victory at the 2020 US Open.

It took Tsitsipas two hours and 25 minutes alright but he managed to carve out a three-set win over Daniil Medvedev to move to his fifth ATP final of the season. He will be aiming to win his third title of the year and the first on hard courts.
Having been stretched to the distance by John Isner in the quarterfinals as well, Tsitsipas claimed a 7-6 (6), 3-6, 6-3 win over Medvedev.
Both players earned three breaks of serves in the encounter, but it was Tsitsipas’ clinical play in the final set that turned out to be the difference between the two.
With Tsitsipas having saved a set-point in the first set, he earned himself the only break-point of the final set in the sixth game and converted it. In turn, he lost just four points on his own serve to march into the final.
Tsitsipas should begin the match with a lot of confidence coming into this title-decider.

Coric’s Unstoppable Run Continues
Coric has played five matches in this tournament and every single time he has stepped out on court, he has started off as a second-favourite player for that encounter.
It started with a first round win against Lorenzo Musetti but more vitally when he was 4/1 underdog against Rafael Nadal in the second set. Coric took out the Spaniard in three sets.
From there on, Coric has had no difficulties in winning against Roberto Bautista Agut, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Cameron Norrie to enter this final. Against Norrie, especially, Coric was on court for an hour and a half and faced just two break-points.
Now featuring in his first ATP final since October 2020, Coric will have a task on his hands as he looks to overcome an in-form Tsitsipas.
