Adrian Mannarino beating van de Zandschulp is not a surprise but the dominating way in which he did it, certainly is. 6-0 6-4 was the final score as the French player did not face a single break point in the match. It was a superb display from Mannarino, his best of the week.
He’s a streaky player so it’s not unusual for him to have weeks like this. He tends to do much better in fast courts than slow ones so that’s another contributing factor. After a win like that, he’ll certainly fancy his chances in the final, against Djere who had another long and tiring match.
Being a lefty playing against a righty is another thing that will aid him. The serve will be quite key for him and he’ll need to do it well because I think Djere might be trying to shorten the points. Good returning will be also key and if he can keep the Serbian away from break points, that will certainly contribute to him winning.

Another Long Match For Djere
Prior to the semi-final, Laslo Djere played four long matches that all went to the 3rd set. It felt him quite exhausted and tired and it was visible at times during his match against Huesler. The Serbian needed his 9th match point to close out the match which is pretty crazy.
He also squandered a 3-0 lead in the final set to complicate the match even further ending up in a tight tiebreak. He’s playing well and looking comfortable on the court but he’s clearly lacking the juice he had earlier this week. That might be problematic against a very sharp Mannarino who is barely allowing opponents any break point.
Djere will need to clinical against the Frenchman but if he fails to use his chances he might not get another one. Not having played him is another problem due to his distinctive style. It’s a very tricky combination of factors for Djere in this one.
Mannarino v Djere Prediction and Tip
While I do think that Djere might be a more talented player overall I don’t think he’s better on hard courts. There are several factors that have been named above in favour of Mannarino and I’ll think he’ll get it done.
If he brings the same level as he did against van de Zandschulp then he’ll certainly win.
