Caroline Garcia v Kamilla Rakhimova Head to Head

And she will enter this year’s US Open knowing it’s one of the more open contests around and with some luck in the draw, it could be anybody’s for the taking. Including Garcia’s.

Rakhimova Scrapes Through as a Lucky Loser
After getting knocked out of the qualifiers in San Jose Open earlier this month, Rakhimova opted to take part in the WTA125 competition in Concord but fell at the very first hurdle there.
Trying to get some of her rhythm back, Rakhimova then featured in an ITF tournament in Bronx where she went on to win the title.
While that was definitely good news and helped her get to becoming 90th in the world – her career-best ranking – Rakhimova then stumbled at the final qualifying hurdle of the US Open, losing to Erika Andreeva
The withdrawal of Angelique Kerber allows Rakhimova a chance to make the main draw but can she now come close to upsetting a player in the kind of form that Garcia is? She had made round three last US Open.

Garcia’s form makes her a huge favourite, 13/100 according to some bookmakers and we don’t see anything else but a straight-set win for the Frenchwoman.
