Yastremska in a Six-Match Losing Rut
She has been once ranked 21st in the world but Yastremska’s current form has been anything like the kind it had been back then.
Ranked 86th in the world at the moment, Yastremska is currently on a six-match losing streak and has lost 10 of her last 12 matches. This includes three consecutive losses at Washington, Cincinnati (qualifying) and Cleveland.
What Yastremska would hope to do is turn things around, akin to the manner in which she had played in successive competitions in February and March this season.
Having not made it past the first round in Melbourne, Adelaide and at the Australian Open, Yastremska had entered the quarterfinal of WTA Dubai and then finished runnerup in Lyon.
