32-year-old Alison Riske-Amritraj has had a decent few weeks in the North American swing as she now looks to build on her recent gains.
Despite starting on a slow note – a first-round loss to the 21-year-old Elizabeth Mandlik in San Jose – Alison reached the third round in Toronto and Cincinnati, beating the likes of Petra Kvitova, Jelena Ostapenko, and Sara Sorribes Tormo.
On the whole, her season stands at 21-17, with her highlight being the runner-up feat in the Nottingham Open and Adelaide International 2. In addition, Riske-Amritraj featured in the fourth round in Miami and round three in Indian Wells.

Yu, Playing with a Wildcard
17-year-old Eleana Yu is among the few players who have received a wildcard in this year’s US Open. She bagged this historic feat after winning the USTA Girls 18s National Championships.
Of course, she will fancy her chances of an impressive run – considering that Emma Raducanu did pretty much the same thing last, season as a qualifier.
Looking at Yu’s track record, she has competed primarily in the ITF tournaments this season with her best result coming in Dayton Beach where she was a quarterfinalist.
