Adrian Mannarino v Gijs Brouwer Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the Frenchman, who is 34, and his Dutch opponent, eight years younger.

Mannarino first played at the US Open back in 2009, but in all the intervening years since, the furthest he has been in this event is the third round, a stage he has reached on three occasions, most recently two years go.
He has had a very mixed year, with strong results earlier in the season, including a fourth round at the Australian Open, and three successive quarter-finals, followed by an extensive period in the doldrums.
However, he found some form again on grass and has carried that over into the American hard court swing, culminating in Winston Salem where he beat Laslo Djere of Serbia in Saturday’s final to win the tournament.
Although that was his 11th final on the main tour, that was just his second win, to go with the title he won on the grass of Rosmalen back in 2019.

Brouwer Makes Grand Slam Debut
With the rise of the likes of Botic ven de Zandschulp and Tallon Griekspoor, Dutch male tennis is on the rise currently, and now Brouwer is hoping to make his mark as well.
He only made his main ATP debut earlier this year at the US Men’s Clay Court Championship, which he entered as a qualifier, before going on to reach the quarter-finals.
And now he has qualified for a Grand Slam for the first time at the age of 26 years old.
His progress through the qualifying rounds was initially relatively serene, as he beat both Gastao Elias of Portugal and Facundo Mens of Argentina in straight sets.
Paul Jubb of Great Britain, though, proved to be a bigger obstacle, and it was the Englishman who fought back to level after Brouwer had taken the first set. Brouwer, though, was able to regroup and close out the match.
Now he is set to play on the biggest stage of his life.

Mannarino should be full of confidence after winning the title in Winston Salem, and will be confident of making the second round against an opponent who is making his Grand Slam debut.
