O’Connell Looking Sharp
Christopher O’Connell is a very solid tennis player whose peak is really high however he rarely seems to tap into his potential. The Australian certainly did that this week and two very strong wins have him in the quarter-final of a very solid event.
If he can keep up that play, he can certainly fancy a win over Brooksby who is solid but not that unbeatable at the moment. The main thing for O’Connell has been his serve which gives him an easy chance to finish off points. It’s been quite remarkable to watch and he certainly hopes to keep it going.
Brooksby will give him some looks as the American doesn’t have too much power but he is a very good returner. If he can break down the serve he’ll give O’Connell a lot of problems. It’s hard to predict how good O’Connell will play in this one but I think he can make it interesting.

So they never played before and I think it will be competitive. Both have played really well so far at this event and O’Connell’s serve is important.
