Bernarda Pera will be playing her first match since facing a first round defeat to Anhelina Kalinina at the U.S. Open. Interestingly she will be up against another Ukrainian on Monday.

It’s been the best season of Pera’s career so far. She won back-to-back titles in Budapest and Hamburg — the first two WTA titles of her career.

Overall she is 32-17 across levels, with a 21-7 record on clay. Apart from winning the two titles on dirt, she also finished runner-up at a WTA 125 on clay.

When it comes to hard courts, the American left-hander is 11-9 this year. She didn’t have a great start to the year, but had been in good form just before the U.S. Open. She finished runner-up at the WTA 125 in Concord and was a semifinalist in Cleveland.

Pera’s consistency has helped her reach a career-high ranking of 43 on September 19. Can she keep soaring with a solid showing in Tallinn?
